John Booty

CHIEF NFL RELATIONS OFFICER

John, is a native of Horton Community in DeBerry, Texas. He was instrumental in leading the 1983 Carthage High School Bulldogs to the Texas State Semifinals. In 2013, he was inducted into the Carthage Athletics Hall of Honors. John played two seasons at Cisco Junior College Wranglers where he was Team Co-Captain, All Conference, All American in 1985, also helped the Wranglers earn a spot to play in the Jayhawk Bowl. John was inducted into the National Junior College Athletic Association Hall of Fame in 1995. John finished his collegiate career (1986-87) as an outstanding defensive back at Texas Christian University (TCU) Horned Frogs. After retiring from the NFL, he went back and earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Speech/Communications, the Spring of 1998.

Post-NFL, John became a successful entrepreneur. John was majority owner of World Gym Fitness Center in Largo, Md and a minority owner in World Gym Express in Upper Marlboro, Md. He was cofounder of Fantappers a Digital Media Platform. 
He was a consultant for the non-profit organization, The Corporate Huddle and Sport Fit Bowie Health Club

John is a frequent guest NFL Analyst on WJLA ABC 7News Sports Talk and FOX 5 DC, as well as, a number of other sports media outlets


Since 2005, John has Coached and Played in the Congressional Charitable Football Game for Team "Mean Machine." John also heads GCI's NFL Headquarters Division.
 

John welcomed the opportunity to team up with former teammate and 2X Super Bowl Champion Gary Clark and Top Rated Attorney, Thomas Doyle as they created The MetaVerse Sports Group. John still lends his support to a number Charities and other community outreach organizations.

John is the proud father of two daughters: Johne’, who has her Masters Degree in Health Care Administration from the University of Texas Arlington. Johné is a Head Trainer at Arlington Martin High School in Texas, and his youngest, Lisette is an aspiring Actress. She has Bachelor’s Degrees from Georgetown University in Theater and Psychology.

And last but not least; John is a former NFL Defensive Back. A 10th round, 257th pick in 1988 NFL Draft by the New York Jets. He also played Philadelphia Eagles, Phoenix Cardinals, New York Giants, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. During his eight-year career, John played in 102 games with 37 career starts.
